Andrew Patterson, Msw, LCSWPsychotherapist
In-person at the Midtown & Telehealth option provided for NC Residents
Andrew is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. He received his Bachelor’s in Psychology from Clemson University, and Master’s in Social Work from the University of Tennessee. He has several years of therapeutic experience helping a wide spectrum of individuals dealing with pain and hurt to feel better and move through obstacles preventing them from living full lives. He strongly believes that change comes from the person who needs it. Sometimes they just need help finding it.
Andrew specializes in clients dealing with difficulties functioning or doing things they enjoy or need to do, emotional reactivity and internal/external conflict, feeling lost, finding personal and cultural/community identity, transitions in life, trauma, specific possible or diagnosed personality disorders (NPD and BPD), and religious uncertainty or pain from previous experiences.
Andrew is foundationally trained in DBT and Acceptance and Integration Training, and also uses insight and change driven methodologies based on individual needs to best achieve goals brought to therapy. The needs you bring to therapy are the top priority, and Andrew does his best to ensure that those needs are focused on and dealt with in a manner that works with the individual. Therapy is meant to be a healing space where vulnerability is respected, pain is cared for, and your experience is valued. You are the owner and expert of your lived experience, and that knowledge is incredibly important in finding real healing and progress together.
